Canvas Release / Deploy Note Updates
- In New Quizzes Survey Reports, instructors can click the response count to view a list of students who selected a specific answer. For anonymous surveys, student identities are masked as Student 1, Student 2, and so on to ensure privacy.
- Instructors can export survey responses to a CSV file. The file includes respondent name for non-anonymous surveys, submission timestamp, question text, and all answers for every question type.
- Anonymity Handling: For anonymous surveys, student name and ID are excluded or marked as Anonymous to protect privacy.
- The New Quizzes experience is moved out of its isolation layer (iframe) to run within the main Canvas page in production environments.
- In New Quizzes, instructors can provide feedback for each answer in multiple-answer questions.
- Automatic partial credit scoring is available for Categorization question types. Student scores are calculated based on the total number of correct decisions rather than all-or-nothing scoring. Correct decisions include placing items in the correct category and correctly leaving distractor items unplaced.
- Instructors can rotate incorrectly oriented submission pages before adding annotations, making it easier to review and provide feedback without workflow interruptions.
