Ed Discussion provides an option for instructors to enable the Ed Attendance tool within their Ed Discussion space. Ed Attendance is a quick and adaptable attendance tool that instructors can use to create class sessions to mark student attendance through a variety of check-in methods including:
- QR Code
- Password
- In Person Codes
- Manual Check In
Using the Ed Attendance tool requires you to enable the broader Ed Discussion tool for your course.
- Navigate into the Ed Discussion tool from your Canvas course site and click the admin Gear Icon in the top-right corner of the page.
- In the General tab of settings, find the "Features" heading and check off the "Attendance" option.
- Once checked off you will see the Attendance tool icon added to the top navigation for your class' Ed Discussion space. Click on the Attendance icon to start setting up class sessions and taking attendance.
