Updated onArticleThe Rich Content Editor (RCE) is the default text box space in most items for a user to write and create content. The RCE is designed and laid out similar to other popular word processor toolbars, while still supporting and facilitating some unique Canvas specific functions.

Publishing and Unpublishing Your Course
Updated onArticleWhen first created, Canvas courses are not published, meaning that they are unavailable for students to view. Instructors can utilize the time when a course is initially not published to set up their course for the semester. It is also possible for instructors to unpublish their course, which will prevent students from accessing the course.

FAQs: Canvas Guest Accounts for those with a Yale NetID
Updated onArticleFind below some frequently asked questions about requesting and using Canvas @ Yale Guest Accounts. Canvas Guest Accounts are primarily to invite guests into your course who are not part of the Yale community (do not have a Yale NetID). This account is limited, as it is not an official Yale credential.
Canvas Guest Accounts for those who do have NetIDs should be used for testing purposes only, to better understand how Canvas behaves from the student perspective when "Student View" is insufficient.
