Instructors can remove a Gem or Notebook from the Gemini LTI in Canvas.
Note: When a Gem or Notebook is removed from the Gemini LTI in Canvas, the sharing permissions / access are automatically updated and all users who received access through the Gemini LTI will no longer be able to access or use the Gem / Notebook.
Additionally, adding a Gem or Notebook back to the Gemini LTI will not restore a user's access to the item until they click on the item again.
Gems / Notebooks that were manually shared with users will not be impacted by the item being removed from the Gemini LTI in a Canvas course site.
- Navigate to the course and in the Course Navigation menu, select the Gemini LTI tool.
- Locate the Gem / Notebook in its respective section you want to delete and select the Option button, which will appear as three vertical dots inline with the item.
- In the menu that opens, select the option to Remove.
- A pop-up window will open asking you to confirm that you want to remove the Gem or Notebook. Select the Remove option again to confirm your decision.
