A Strategy to Organize Discussion / Lab Section Zoom Schedules
Updated onArticleThis guidance is to provide a way to book and share online Zoom sessions for a specific discussion / lab section by leveraging Canvas Assignments. The results of following these steps is that Zoom sessions will be listed under the Assignments tool (in a designated Assignment Group) and will only be visible to the members of the discussion / lab section to whom it is assigned. There will also be a corresponding entry on the Canvas Calendars and Syllabus page (under Course Summary) for the members of that discussion / lab section.

Zoom Cloud Recordings: Accessing / Downloading / Sharing via Media Library
Updated onArticleZoom sessions can be recorded either locally to the user's computer or to the Zoom Cloud. When the host selects to record their Zoom session to the Cloud the recording can be found online in their Zoom account or, if set up properly, in the Zoom tool of their Canvas course. Zoom sessions recorded to the Cloud that are set up through the Zoom tool in a Canvas course will automatically upload and be available in that course's Media Library. The instructions below will go over how to access, download, and share your Zoom Cloud recordings with the Media Library in Canvas.

Inviting Guests to Your Zoom Session
Updated onArticleYou can invite guests to join your Zoom sessions at any time. Your guests do not need to have a Yale Zoom account or a Yale Canvas account to join your meeting. They also do not need to be enrolled in your Canvas course.
Every scheduled Zoom session / series has a unique meeting ID number. You simply need to share the unique meeting ID link / phone number with the user and they will be able to use that to join your session.
