Browser Tips
The Educational & Engagement Technology team that supports Canvas @ Yale has some browser tips to consider when using Canvas:
- Use Instructure's Browser Checker tool to make sure your browser is up to date and has the appropriate JavaScript, cookies, etc. enabled.
- We recommend using the latest stable version of Chrome and/or Firefox as your default browser, though Safari and Edge are also supported.
- If you are not able to see a tool or feature correctly in one browser, please try to update the browser or try another one.
- Clearing your browser's cache and cookies may help when trying to resolve viewing issues in Canvas.
- Many tools in Canvas require third-party cookies to be enabled. Learn how to check this setting with our Enabling Third Party Cookies on Your Browser article.
