FALL 2021 EARLY REGISTRATION: Why don't I see my Fall 2021 courses when I log into Canvas?

For Fall 2021, returning Yale College students will be able to register for courses early during the new Early Registration period.

For details about when and how early registration works, please visit the Registration Website.

Access to Fall 2021 Yale College Course Sites in Canvas

By default, Fall 2021 Canvas course sites will become available to students in August 2021 - to align with the opening of registration for Graduate and Professional School courses (exact dates have yet to be announced).

If instructors choose, they may open their Canvas course sites earlier.  Because this is at the instructor's discretion you may be able to access some of your courses sooner than others.  Courses that have been opened early will appear on your Canvas Dashboard page.

Viewing your enrollments

You can see a full list of your Canvas enrollments and your role in each course by logging into Canvas, clicking on the Courses button [1] in the left side navigation menu, and selecting All Courses [2].  On the course list page, scroll down to the Future Enrollments list [3] to see which courses you are enrolled in for Fall 2021.

Reminder:  Once you add a course to your worksheet, it may take up to 2 hours (during business hours 8:30am - 5:30pm) for your account to be added to the Canvas course site.

For questions about registration, please contact registrar@yale.edu.  For questions about Canvas, please contact canvas@yale.edu.
