IgniteAI Discussions & Announcements Translations are an AI powered tool that can translate discussion topics and replies, as well as announcements in a course.
When this feature is enabled by the instructor for a course, both Instructors and Students are able to translate discussions and announcements for themselves.
Currently, 10 languages are supported. The available languages are:
- Catalan
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Dutch
- English
- French
- German
- Portugese (Brazil)
- Russian
- Spanish
- Swedish
- Navigate to the course where you want to enable IgniteAI Discussion & Announcement Translation and click on "Settings" in the Course Navigation menu on the bottom-left side.
- Click on the "Feature Options" tab across the top.
- Find the feature option called "IgniteAI Translations for Discussions & Announcements".
- You can use the search bar at the top to help you locate this option.
- In line with the "IgniteAI Translations for Discussions & Announcements" option, click on the red x and select "Enable" to turn it on. The red x will become a green check mark to denote that your changes are saved.
- If there is a red x on the "IgniteAI Translations for Discussions & Announcements" line, then the tool has not yet been enabled. If there is a green check mark, the tool is already enabled.
- Navigate to a Discussion or Announcement in your course. You will now see an "Enable Translation" button in the top-right of each individual discussion topic or announcement.
