The IgniteAI Discussion Summary creates a quick overview of a discussion activity for instructors, highlighting key points, questions, and themes.
When enabled, Discussion Summaries are only visible to instructors.
The maximum number of summary generations allowed per USER per DAY is 25.

Generate Discussion Summary
- In a Discussion activity, click the "Open Summary" button found in the bottom-right corner of the initial discussion prompt.
- The "Discussion Summary" box will open, which will provide you an Optional "Topics to focus on" text field.
- When ready, click the "Summarize" button to generate the discussion summary.
- The Generated Summary will appear below the focus topic text box.
Generating additional Discussion Summaries will replace the previously generated summary. There is no saved space for the summaries you generate. If you want a record of the different summaries generated, you should copy and paste them to an external document.
Closing the Discussion Summary
Closing the Discussion Summary box or navigating away from the Discussion activity does not delete or remove the generated summary. However, generating a new summary replaces the existing one in a discussion activity. If you want a record of the different summaries generated, you should copy and paste them to an external document.
- In a discussion activity where you have a Discussion Summary, click the "Close Summary" button in the bottom-right of the initial discussion prompt.
